Super nice and friendly family and the food is great. I had the Casado Tradicional and it was delicious as well as very nice in the Takeaway Box. My daughter had the chicken burger and it was also very delicious. They even packed fresh pineapple juice with ice cream in a small plastic bag as a gift, which was also absolutely delicious. Great value for money. I'd go back any time. Wonderful apology I didn't write pictures of the food I was hungry and the food looked too delicious!
Small restaurant near thermal springs that serves a variety of traditional fast foods. Family companies and owned them were really nice and made us feel at home. Great place to catch a bite when you visit Orosi!
I spent the last week in Orosi at the Spanish immersion school Montaña Linda from California. I loved the rustic, simple atmosphere of this city. I settled on El Buen Taco as my favorite place, right next to the school and a two-minute walk from the pension. Jonathan just opened this restaurant and runs it with his family. The food is wonderful, too affordable and does not leave you hungry. They serve authentic, homemade Costa Rican food (Empanadas, Tamales and the other parentheses) in a simple atmosphere and show real appreciation for the business of locals and tourists. Not so many tourists come through this city, but if you are there, you should stop at El Buen Taco. The empanades made by his mother were my favorite. As an additional advantage if you are in town to learn Spanish, they take the time to turn around with you when they are not too busy.
Good food, good service and the bonus one guy spoke pretty good English. I wish i had stopped by sooner. Will eat there again.
