Safire - Oroville

The view here is incredible, perfect for enjoying a few drinks by the fire pit while overlooking the sunset and the Coastal Range. I really wish I could have stayed longer! They offer a great menu with food, drinks, and desserts. This would be an excellent venue for hosting an event. It's definitely one of my top five choices for celebrating my 30th birthday. If you're coming from the city, it’s convenient to know that your hotel is close by, along with a few other bars at the casino. There's even a gas station on the same property, which is usually the second busiest in town for fuel.

As a passionate home cook, I tend to be a tough customer when it comes to dining out. If I think I can make a dish better myself, it feels like I've wasted my time and money. But I won’t complain or ask for a refund or discount; I simply won’t return. When friends, family, or even strangers ask me about a restaurant, I always give my honest opinion—good, bad, or indifferent. In my life, I’ve only felt compelled to recommend two places. The first was a small, unassuming pizza joint in a bowling alley in San Rafael, known for making pizza from scratch using an old family recipe. The second is Safire, which I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, even strangers trying to choose a place to eat nearby! I do so with excitement and joy, knowing they will love it. If they were guests in my home, I would serve them a meal crafted with the same love, care, and attention to detail that the staff and chefs at Safire infuse into their dishes. Many of the friends I've sent to Safire are first-timers, and without fail, they all come back to thank me for the recommendation! I highly recommend the Ahi Nachos—a delightful appetizer that is sure to please! My husband had never tried Ahi before, but once I suggested we give the Ahi Nachos a shot, we both fell in love with Safire!

I had a great experience at the Safire restaurant. The presentation of all dishes was amazing, especially the soft pulp I got. Prices are slightly higher, but each dish has a unique taste profile (of what I have read in the menu). I wish I tried the peanut butter cheesecake!

We met with friends for dinner and drinks. The staff was friendly and provided top notch. The drinks were delicious. It was a fun place to grab some drinks and catch up with friends.
