Dotonbori Imai Main Shop - Osaka

Most delicious food place I have been in Osaka. If I have only chance to have a meal in Osaka, then I would go to this place again.

Great option in the Dotonbori area. No booking required, peak hour may require queuing. Udon is a bit soft and soup a little salty. Cold soba is nice. Tempura recommended.

Ordered the kitsune and another one with the egg. The udon broth is tasty but the udon itself is a little mushy for my liking. In my experience, the al dente udon at Tasty Street is much better. The atmosphere is cosy and the green tea is great too. They have menus in English, Chinese and Korean.

I would say the udon looks very delicious, but the noodles did not taste good at all. A very disappointing experience as I was looking forward to trying it. Noodles tasted dry? Broke easily and soggy.

It has a really good review score on Tabelog, so we follow it here. I'm quite disappointed with their no.1 dish as the udon tatse too sweet for me. I recommend Nabe udon as it would be easier to eat for foreigners like me but the meet like pork in this bowl is still too sticky and not really edible.
