Megumi - Osaka

This little vegan place is so amazing that I don't even know where to start from! Megumi is such a nice person and the hospitality is just marvelous. Food was incredible and the prices were great! The ambient in the restaurant was very rustic and authentic and when you sit at the bar everyone around you is super friendly and they're not shy to try and talk with you even if you end up talking in a mixture of Japanese, English and hand gestures. Now as for the food I tried; I had rice curry, miso shiro and gyozas and let me tell you that these were some of the best vegan Japanese dishes that I've had! Megumi seems to be the only one that works there (since it's her restaurant), she takes your order and gets cooking right away... You can tell from the flavor of the food that she cooks every dish with love and care! If you're ever in Osaka you HAVE TO visit this cozy little place, you'll meet wonderful people and have an amazing meal! Thank you Megumi, hope I can visit again!

I was there in 2018 when I think it was one of few vegan places in osaka. the place is small and cozy, with many books, small cups and dressed everywhere, walls covered with posters. it is really like a hospitable in someone home. ramenbrushe was a little too thick for my taste, and gyoza boiled a bit. still do not regret, it is one of a kind place.

My friend and I ate here on a Saturday night. unfortunately we were the only customers. the restaurant is tiny and all sitting places in the opposite style, which is beautiful because it provides a very cozy, friendly atmosphere. we had the Mock-Eel donburi and vegan pizza. the pizza wasn't really after my taste, but the donburi and all served beside dishes were really good. it is just the owner who cooks himself and everything feels like a real fresh home cook. Speaking of the owner, she was so beautiful! we both speak Japanese, so we had a very nice conversation with her while we enjoyed our meal. I am not sure how good her English is, but I have heard from non-Japanese speakers that she was very warm and was also welcome to them.

I was happy to find this beautiful place. not easy to find good vegan food in osaka. the owner is wonderful and the place is cozy. easy to meet people if they want that, because they are close. eating is super-very satisfying meal at a reasonable price for osaka. I had that. the owner believes in vegan eating and offers delicious, healthy food in a beautiful neighbourhood. easy to find with Google cards. highly recommended and very grateful that it serves this way of publicity! updated by the previous review on 2019-12-22
