The Tea House - Oshawa

Our waiter was fantastic, and while the food was on the expensive side, it was quite tasty. The bruschetta made for a delicious starter. The view from the restaurant is stunning. However, I was a bit let down by the dessert. I ordered the strawberry shortcake, but I expected it to have a much better flavor. Additionally, it wasn't layered with strawberries like a classic strawberry shortcake should be.

I thoroughly enjoyed the luncheon. Despite the cloudy and cool weather, we were shielded from the breeze, and once the metal chairs warmed up, it was quite pleasant. We dressed appropriately for the chilly day, so it wasn't an issue. The food was fantastic. One person in our group is gluten-free, and he found excellent options that he really liked. We ordered soup and sandwiches, all of which were outstanding. Another member had the salmon and salad, which he also enjoyed very much. The service was exceptional. Our waiter, a charming young man, was friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. Overall, we had a lovely day walking through the gardens, enjoying lunch in a beautiful setting, and finishing off with a tour of the grand house. Thank you!

Very unique venue. Superb food. Amazing desserts. Stunning gardens. They need better signage from the parking lot. A couple of propane heating towers would have made for a 5 star experience, as it was quite chilly in the shaded tea house. They could have stopped the cross breeze by closing the doors on the back wall. Wasp traps would also have helped to detract them from our dessert!

The restaurant is stunning, and the food was incredibly tasty with ample portions. I highly recommend the Tea House. Our server was courteous, attentive, and friendly.
