Please do NOT take pictures. Just come in and QUIETLY enjoy fascinatingly delicious toast and good coffee with Chopin's piano music. Super relaxed place. Full of Showa atmosphere.
Showa era cafe that opened in Showa 8. Inside it is dark, the cafe smells of decades of smoking, and even today the waitress brings an ashtray. The decor is bewildering: tens of lamps, ships wheels, and other artefacts litter the interior. In the background a selection of the classics is played. The cash till is from the 1950s. Coffee is good. The cake selection is OK but really it is the experience of enjoying something authentically old fashioned that is the draw. (For some reason they don’t like customers taking photos.
Amazing atmosphere! Good coffee. Except the smoking smell
Simple Shopping Place where one can look around while waiting for the lighting up in the evening
