Ramen Shodai - Otaru

The best ramen soup flavour I've ever tasted! Down to the very last slurp, need to check out this place if you're in Otaru. Lovely decor with even lovlier staff!

I’m more of a tonkotsu ramen lover but this shoyu ramen is da bomb. It’s not your usual diluted shoyu soup base. The soup is thick and has a special taste which isn’t too salty. The chashu is huge (as you can see, it’s 3/4 of my bowl). This ramen is worth every penny!

One of the best ramen I had! Extremely thick and flavourful shoyu broth and the most amazing Chashu. Remember to go early to get their speciality bowl as they only serve 30 bowls a service!

A different kind of taste of Ramen. It's really good, the meat and ramen portion is generous. The price is affordable and the broth has a very unique taste. A definitely must try when you go to Otaru, the building also interesting. With high ceiling and made of wood. Not many tourist know about this place so you can take your time enjoying your food. Good service and fast response.

Old stone building that we've walked past before, but today was cold and we could smell the ramen as we walked by so decided to try it! Wow, very busy and popular spot, we never knew! The shoyu ramen was delicious with a deep broth and chewy noodles! Will definitely return again!
