It's a unique experience when they serve the food on small wooden boards. Even though they ran out of plates, it was interesting to see potato wedges served as skin-on chips, which were still tasty. The burgers were good, but they could use some sauce. Overall, it's a very good dining experience.
The Chilliyard is currently operating as a pop-up tent in a parking lot near Otley, right next to Chevin Forest Park. My friends and I originally planned to go for a walk this morning, but due to the rain, we opted for coffee and cake instead. We enjoyed the delicious chocolate Guinness cake and rhubarb and cardamom cake. The lunch boxes looked enticing, so we decided to take three home for lunch. We had the hommity pee, budda (hummus and falafel), and spicy Caribbean pasty, and the portions were so generous that we were able to save some for dinner. The service was friendly, despite the early hour on a wet and cold Sunday morning. Overall, a victorious experience thanks to the team at Chilliyard.
