I’ve only had a sandwich there so far.It was way better than I had expected.Good people run this place and the atmosphere is old school community pizza parlor. You know, the kind of place we all miss. You just don’t seem to find gems like this anymore.I’ll be back for sure to try the pizza and other sandwiches. 100
I won't goback with shut down for rats. And cockroaches
I 've lived in Long Beach my entire life but never tried Avenue 3 pizza. Here 's my first experience.....I call on Oct 8th at around 6:15PM and a lady answers. I ask her, How many inches is your small pizza? ... she doesn 't answer me and puts the phone down. I can hear her speaking to someone else in the background. I know she heard what a said. About a minute goes by, nothing. I hung up and called back, 15 times until she answers again as the phone was busy/off the hook. I ask the same question... How many inches is your small pizza ?, she says 12 inches ....I ask her, is the crust thick or thin or normal? ....her reply was..., NO,NO,NO,NO,NO (angrily, as if how dare you ask me that question),...she continues by saying... I don 't have any dough left and I just had a huge rush so, WE DON 'T HAVE ANYTHING FOR YOU ... blaugh, blaugh, blaugh, blaugh, blaugh. She 's borderline screaming this at me. I guess Avenue 3 doesn 't want my business so they won 't ever get it. I don 't care if she was having a bad day or what that was completely unacceptable. Would not recommend this place unless you like rude customer service.
This is what ever family who wishes to reminisce in old school pizzerias should be looking for. The pizza is great the beer is cold the price is right and the owners local. Real jukebox with arcade games and a pool table. My family are regulars and plan to stay regulars.
