Woody's Steak House - Ottawa

I have visited this restaurant six times in the past few months, and I genuinely want to enjoy my experience there. The service is consistently excellent, and the wait staff is fantastic. The steaks I've had have been wonderful, although three out of the six times they were overcooked. Despite that, they still had great flavor, so I tried not to let it affect my overall impression. However, I did find a long hair in my salad on one occasion, and my wife ordered seafood twice that was either on the verge of spoiling or actually spoiled. For now, we might take a break from dining here. Still, I encourage others to give it a try for themselves.

It was four of us and mostly all Steaks were market price??? Then for the price we paid they should have better cooks, I had a well done and it was charred so hard that it tasted burnt and was extremely dry. I was not happy, even though they had adisclaimer that I did not see, that said they were not responsible for well done Steaks, who says that at a fine dinningrestaurant. I do NOT recommend for the price they charge. My husband ask for a medium done steak and they brought back almost awell done steak and when he wanted another steak cooked the way he wanted the head chef came out with the same plate and triedto convince him it was the way he wanted, stating maybe it was the steak sauce...REALLY..So my husband kept the food in fearthey may do something to the steak if given another one. Who tells a customer their food is cooked the way they wanted and,didnot try and accommodate. If I could give this overpriced nasty steaks a 0 this would be accurate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THISRESTAURANT.

I chose to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant yesterday evening, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The customer service was lacking; the staff was not friendly at all. The spinach salad came out wilted, which was unappetizing. The imitation crab served with the steak and orange roughy was quite unpleasant. My best friend ordered the seafood pasta, and even the scallops were imitation. Overall, I was really not impressed with this place.

I wasn’t able to sit in the restaurant area since I didn’t have a reservation, so I settled for the bar section, which was fine. The ribs were definitely the highlight of my meal. Unfortunately, the price of meat is on the higher side, so I found the steaks to be too expensive for my budget. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which enhanced the experience.

First of all everything is market value. In other words over priced! Then with a party of four we all ordered the Porter house steaks! Mine was to be medium as this is how I order my steaks all the time. When I get it, it is well done. So I asked thewaitress to return the steak she took it back and then I guess the manager or the lady behind the bar I should say, brings itback abs says look at that steak, it is medium, it 's your sauce that 's making it look well and refused to let me haveanother! Worst dinning experience ever!!! Don 't do it
