Hanleys Nashville Hot Chicken - Ottawa

After reading the reviews, I decided to take a chance on this place. I was looking for a mild chicken sandwich with a mild buffalo butter coating, heres what I found: Pros: large chicken portion on the Hot Chicken Sando Combo, about the length of my hand. The chicken is really crispy and well breaded and cooked well, juicy. Pickles and slaw on burger add a ton of flavour. Lots of fries. Cons: fries are soft and cold, but taste like chip truck style fries which gives them a bit of a leg up in my books. Sandwich seasoning is there but barely, I would have loved more flavour in the butter. Overall a decent lunch

The stupid hot Hanleys Hot Chicken Sando was the most non spicy sandwich I have ever had. It was too crispy to the point where its hard to eat. Not much flavor at all. I had the Nashville Poutine which was decent and much spicier than the "stupid hot Hanleys Hot Chicken Sando

I think this restaurant is confused about what exactly smoked brisket is because the Brisket Sando is not smoked and Im not even sure its brisket its like hard tough unchewable dry flavourless beef cubes. Fries are good tho

Ordered a medium heat sandwich, and a cluckin hot sandwich. Both sand tasted exactly the same. No heat at all. Fries were soggy. Not good. The only positive was that the sandwiches were a good size.
