New Generation Sushi - Ottawa

The sushi here is bomb! However, to order a drink it took 15 minutes. Service isn 't really on point, but it was busy so that could of been why. I ordered the lobster, tuna krispies , and The Philadelphia roll these were all amazing. The gyozas...prob the best I 've had in Ottawa, they were fresh, crispy and flavorful....and homemade. The Japanese calamari comes with a delicious spicy sauce but the calamari itself was overly battered. I 'd go back for sure though. Try it if your around the area!

Ready for a foodgasm?. I have been a client of the restaurant for many years and my last visit was again top of my list of best place I ate this year. Quality, presentation, service was impeccable and I have high standards given I was raised in a household where my mom was trained as a cordon bleu chef in Montreal. The sushi chef loves his craft and it shows and he loves fish so much so that fishing is one of his favorite pastimes. Well worth it!

Not very tasty. I 'm actually quite shocked so see so many good reviews. The spicy tuna maki was tastless and dry they drizzled some spicy sauce on the plate but there was nothing in or on the roll itself. Other rolls were quite dry and tasteless also the fish wasn 't that flavourful. I also ordered salmon sashimi and that was what really wrote off this restaurant for me. Instead of slices, the salmon was actually shredded and mixed in with panko!?! The panko sucked all the moisture out of the salmon and the texture was wrong. Plus, it 's just not sashimi! I was very surprised they would serve that as sashimi.

Can't get better than that. Best sushi hands down!! Tuna tataki with mushroom sauce is to die for!

Most definitely one of the best high end sushi places I've visited in Ottawa, if not the best. The food was extremely delicious and quite unique I particularly enjoyed the tuna tataki, kamikaze roll and the Laurier maki, all flavourful in unique ways. Tasteful presentation, kind service and great food made New Generation Sushi a lovely place to visit. Happy to have found it!
