Sweets Cupcakes, Candy More - Ottawa

I drive 400+ kms to get these delicious cupcakes. They are the highlight of my every visit to Ottawa since I discovered them, and usually my first and last stop. I was so happy to discover that despite closing her brick mortar store, Tania is still baking up a storm from home, with zero change in quality and taste. I've only tried the cupcakes. I have searched extensively for a good cupcake in my home town, only to be disappointed by either the frosting too sweet, or the cupcake too dry. Sweets' buttercream frostings are the perfect amount of not-too-sweet, and the cupcake itself is always moist and tender. Both are packed with flavour. I am partial to the Chocolate Peanut Butter, but have never been disappointed by any flavour I've tried. I order dozens to bring home to family and friends; I've been told they freeze well, but they have never lasted that long! They've made me very popular when I bring them home. :DKeeping a small business going during a pandemic is a massive amount of hard work, and incredibly stressful. Tania and her husband have been unfailingly gracious and helpful, going so far in the past as to bake dozens of to-order cupcakes when I made a last minute request as I was packing up my car to go home and having them ready in a couple of hours. Even scaled down as a home-based business, Tania is still a exceeding my expectations. Many thanks, Sweets, and you'll be hearing from me again when I'm back in town!

Disappointed to find that this business has closed permanently because it’s always sad to see a local place close. Owner(? answered the phone but didn't identify the business until I asked. Posting here so that others without Facebook will know they are closed.Apparently, they will be opening in the future as a home-based business but there were no further details. I wish them the best of luck in their next iteration.

I pre-ordered the cake. It's worst cake of my life. it's dry and to sweet. The quality of cake is even poor then frozen cakes ......Don't waste ur money here....
