Food, on the other hand, is expensive, though that is expected for any pub. Waitress comes by often and offers to top up our refreshments.<br/ Overall a pleasant experience.
I really enjoy the beer, but the byward location is dingy and needs a touch up. My arms stuck to the table because of the aging varnished tables. <br/ <br/ Good beer, time for a reno.
Great Nachos. Stopped in here for a beer and nachos last night. I was a little hesitant because of the $14 price tag, which is pretty standard for Ottawa but still feels like a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. You get quite a bit for your money even split between two people, it wasn't easy to finish. The chips were tasty, albeit a little too salty for my taste, and the nachos had lots of toppings (salsa, green onion, jalapenos, and tons of cheese). Plus, the service was great the place was packed and we still got our stuff in five minutes! Will definitely be back.
Good Beers. Reasonably priced menu. I had a curry, and my wife had the three cheese quesida. Both were very good. Service was prompt and friendly and the beer was excellent. I had the Bitter,.....my wife had a light lager.Sat out on the back patio which was very comfortable.
Great traditional style pub with unique selection of local brew. Their Rasberry wheat was especially refreshing on a hot summer day. Decent burgers. Great atmosphere and good service.
