Bâton Rouge - Ottawa

On a positive note, my cosmo and salad were great. And the service was terrific. But the lobster and shrimp tacos were dreadful! The lobster and tiny cocktail shrimp were served cold and looked and tasted canned. The filling was not generous, as the menu said, and I certainly didn’t expect tiny, cold shrimp from a “ grill house”. If I ever eat here again, I’ll only eat meals I’ve had here in the past and enjoyed.

There were seven of us, all family, The appetizers were delicious and the main courses were, too! Servers were delightful and hard working.

Do not order the steak here, it is terrible. The 16oz ribeye is paper thin and tasteless. Baton rouge should be embarrassed and ashamed to serve this .

My wife had the ribs, excellent as usual! I had the top sirloin cooked “Pittsburg” with peppercorn sauce and a glass of a PEC Cabernet Franc blend. Perfectly cooked! We were well served by knowledgeable and attentive Baldassars!

Nice atmosphere. Very good service.. the staff all work together to make sure you are satisfied, I haven’t had service quite like it before. Good food As well!
