Black Squirrel Books Espresso - Ottawa

I was in for the first time ever today and I wanted to stay all day the minute I walked in the door. They had two of my favourite things slammed into one place: good coffee and inexpensive used books. The ambiance was just perfect a mix of library meets funky old barn meets hipster (yet down to earth) cafe. Bravo!!

I went to pick up a book and left with much more than that. Great atmosphere, friendly customer service and an incredible selection of used books organized in a cool home style way. The hand written signs give a very casual and inviting vibe to the place. The music was relaxing and the smell of coffee was tempting. I will go back for sure to try an espresso. A must visit while in Ottawa!

Hands down the best cappuccino I've ever had! I only moved back to Ottawa just over a month ago, but have definitely found my new favourite spot! Also... Books...everywhere.... I would live there if I could...

I popped in to get out of the rain and, after an hour of reading and top notch espresso macchiato sipping, tore myself away to get to my errands. Can't wait to come back!

Such a jewel of a coffee shop and book store. Espresso was fantastic. Very comforting atmosphere.
