Chances R Restaurant - Ottawa

New ownership. New menu. Been going there regularly since 1978. Horrible experience this week. Food over cooked, mixup with the bill, inexperienced server, couldn't care less night manager. Hate to say it, we loved the old place, but we will never return.

Great place for weekend breakfast. Omelets are fantastic! We got seated right away which was nice and the place was busy but not crowded. Service was excellent as well.

Love that it's near Algonquin. It has a Dollarama, Popeyes among others. I can easily visit them in between classes or after.

The ambience here is always pleasant and laid-back. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. My wife's souvlaki was very acceptable but my beef Napoleon, as it was called, might have dated to the time of the French general himself. It was tough! Had I been in a bad mood I would have sent it back to the kitchen. I should have, I guess. I won't give up on this restaurant just yet, but poor eating experiences such as this will not send me rushing back.

Busy busy spot for lunch. Great server, Connie. Lovely, professional, and busy busy! Will return for another lunch. Food was fine. I love an all day breakfast!
