Cucina da Vito - Ottawa

The special was Gnocchi and Ravioli with a filling (I forgot what it was which I couldn't taste anyway. It wasn't special at all, the little bit of gnocchi with a minimum of sauce (it looked like 1/2 Tbsp. hardly enough to cover any of...the gnocchi, and the little bit of ravioli with some tomato sauce was not worth the outrages price. The Cannoli are ok. But we wanted to give them a second chance because this restaurant had very high ratings. Some of the people we where with had ordered pasta with mushrooms, so we figured this is something they do well, and it was very good, the tiramisu was the best so far. In the future we might just go back, but no specials for us.

Overall excellent experience. Food and service were fantastic. We were a group of 12.. and ive had the chance to sample a bit of everything, all the food was on point and very tasty. I recommend the seafood pasta. Calamari and smelts were also delicious....The special appetizer salad with buffalo mozarella was phenomenal. Definitely recommend this place to anybody. We visited on February 09. All of us thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to dessert. All the food tasted so fresh. The pork medallions, which were on of the specials, was excellent. The staff were very attentive and always friendly but respectful. We would...highly recommend this restaurant.

I have to disagree with the other reviews posted here. We ordered the ravioli as a farewell dish. The portions were described as generous, but they were actually appetizer-sized. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was overly salty. It was a letdown.

I do not enjoy especially Italian cuisine; but we decided to try this restaurant in orleans. the tables have been set up so that they were separated from other guests and we felt very safe with the restrictions with the Kovid rules. we were impressed by eating and atmosphere. the lasagne was delicious and the huhn parmesan was the best we ever had. the server were so friendly and friendly and worked so well together. they made our night something special. we had a great night and would definitely recommend this restaurant! thanks for a great evening.
