My friend had the roast beef sandwich on brown with a side salad. Food was delivered very quickly which is important for a work day lunch. But sandwich was quite good and the salad serving was generous. My friend very much enjoyed his sandwich as well. Prices are very reasonable with my after tax bill coming in at less than $12. Highly recommended for a no frills lunch.
The food was excellent with generous portions. I ordered a club sandwich with a drink and left a tip, totaling $18. However, I had to leave early because the restaurant was uncomfortably hot and the A/C was not on. I prefer to enjoy my meal without sweating excessively.
I love this restaurant. I have been dining there for 3 years since I moved to Ottawa. My house is just 135 steps away from their front door, and I visit at least once a week. The service is consistently friendly, and the prices are great. It felt like fate when I stumbled upon this place shortly after moving in. Tony and Pete, the owners, are fantastic guys.
Quick and satisfying breakfast spot. I enjoyed a delicious shake, even though I ordered vanilla and received chocolate. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the overall experience was great for a quick hangover cure.
You can’t beat John’s for consistently great and quick meals. Have been going for years and never have been disappointed. Few restaurants these days serve liver and onions so if you want your liver fix go there. Daily soup and sandwich specials are available as well as the classic club sandwich.
