Oriental House Restaurant - Ottawa

I dropped into Oriental House as I needed somewhere quick for lunch one day and it happens to be close to the hotel where I was staying. I was surprised, after I had been there for a few minutes, to suddenly remember that I had been at the same place with my wife over 10 years earlier. I don’t recall much about that meal, but the lunch I had on my recent visit was pretty decent…

Came here for dinner and tried their sizzling black pepper beef, and almond chicken guy ding. Everything was decent. I've had better elsewhere, but I did find the quality was fairly reasonable. I'd probably go back at some point and try some different things on the menu.

Great value for money, fast and friendly service for takeout or eat in, totally accommodating to requests and delicious generous portions. What more could you ask for? Our go-to Chinese place in the capital.

Not bad. Usually I am scared to order Chinese, but this was not that bad, my family enjoyed it, was simple and clean food.

There are a lot of really crappy Chinese delivery places in Ottawa, and I seem to have ordered from all of them. This place, however, rocks. Quick, hot, reasonably priced, delicious. I've never eaten in, only done take-out, but this is now my go-to place.
