SEN Asian Cuisine - Ottawa

Unfortunately it was a bad experience. When we got there the place was closed in spite of my confirmed reservation. My friend and I are in our 80ies and I am handycapped. I was rather disappointed. Kind regards from Gabrielle Yensen 613-981-1959 [hidden email] 

Service was utterly appalling. Short-staffed, and snotty about it when we complained that we have been there FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES without anyone so much as acknowledging us, other than to tell us to sit wherever we wanted. It was clear that the server didn’t want to be there and probably hates her job. We were attending a show, so didn’t have all night to wait. When our order was finally taken, the food arrived about twenty minutes later — which is slow. To be fair, the food was very tasty and nicely presented. But the service ruined the experience for us. Would NOT go back, even for the good food.

During my last visit, I decided to try the Ginger Chicken instead of my usual bowl of pho. While it didn't wow me as much as the spring rolls did, I may have had different expectations going in. The price also seemed a bit high for what it was, so I'm not sure if I would order it again. However, I am eager to try the Cha Ca La Vong, which looks fantastic. The service and atmosphere at SEN were top-notch. The waitstaff was friendly, the service was prompt, and the overall environment was classy – everything you would expect from an upscale establishment in Lansdowne. I highly recommend giving SEN a try, not only for their delicious food but also because they are one of the few family-run businesses in the area. And don't forget to try the spring rolls!

It seems a bit redundant to say, but we had a great meal, we always have a great meal, and the people really care about the food and their clients.

Great food and friendly, fast service. Cool and chill atmosphere restaurant which is suitable for family or couple. Ordered a Pho bowl and it was delicious which I could smell it from afar. The taste is right on spot, no need to add any soy sauce or salt or hot sauce. Truly authentic Vietnamese Pho A rare gem in Ottawa. I will definitely come back to try out other items on menu. Love it
