There are not many ramen restaurants in Ottawa, so I decided to give Ginza on Somerset a try. I haven't been to their other location, but this one had a smaller, more limited menu.
Delicious ramen broth, the noodles are consistently excellent. I do wish they offered a few more menu options. The mochi sherbet bonbons were also quite tasty.
We don't come here for the decor however the food is always consistently delicious and reasonably priced. There is a special after 8 pm which offers smaller dishes priced around 6 bucks which allows you to try lots of different items. Otherwise a good meal...More
I've always really enjoyed this restaurant and have recommended it to many friends. This evening, we did not enjoy a mushroom dish and for the most part it was untouched when we were ready to depart. Rather than remove this dish with the other dirty dishes the waiter collected it gingerly and returned it through the little window to the the kitchen. I'm thoroughly suspicious that the mushrooms will find themselves in other stirfries. Oh, and incidentally the BBQ duck was tepid, and when we mentioned it it was taken back to the kitchen and zapped in the microwave oven. Given that we have returned more than a dozen times to this restaurant in the past, I felt we should have been treated a little better.
