However, they must order on an online platform, regardless of showing an id that appears illegal. the first kerl said 10 minutes before the last call, so I tried to order at the bar and the bartender refused. when I had no service, he pointed me to the Wi-Fi password and said I had 3 minutes to order. so inviting! the platform was simple, safe, but really not the experience I expect when I pay for $14 cocktails. a beautiful place is not an excuse for non-existent service.
Ouray is an exceptional place that's filled with very unspectacular places to eat and drink. These homogeneous menus and often irritated staff continue to push forward as your average tourist is happy just to be on vacation and will gladly accept any meal as adequate. This is where the Imogene sets itself apart. From the moment you walk in the door, you know you're in the right spot. The bartender (Rich, I think was his name? greeted our party right away, and made sure our group was immediately taken care of. Every other place we went acted like it was a pain for them to even serve us. Anyway, he immediately livened up our tired group as he walked us through the drink options, and returned with our drinks. Every drink was sheer perfection. In addition to the service, the atmosphere was great. The inside bar feels much more local than any of the other places in town, and is beautifully decorated. At this point we were already impressed, and then the bartender asked if we wanted to go on the rooftop. It was by far the best view in town. There's nothing like sipping on the perfectly made old fashion while looking around at the 13,000 foot peaks surrounding Ouray. This will definitely be our primary spot in Ouray.
Great drinks and non pompous bartenders. Lol had a great time on the rooftop. Gorgeous views. Hubby enjoyed the old fashioned and I enjoyed a gin mule. Definitely check this place out!! Great lication, atmosphere, and staff.
Everything from start to finish was nothing less than ideal. To the very clean renovated rooms, the historical building, the great bar and the perfect private sauna; everything was fantastic. Being a boutique hotel made it very intimate which is something that is missing now-a-days. Rich made the experience even better with his hospitality, friendliness and local tips. When traveling through or visiting again, this will definitely be our stopping point.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice. Cute little whiskey bar, however it is right outside your door and quite loud. We had our door shut and the TV on and we could still hear the people out there. Also, the walls are thin and we could hear the people in the room across from us as well. I will be returning to Ouray but unfortunately we will be finding another place to stay.
