Enough. This place used to be a really lovely, relaxed location to wander onto the terrace after a superb walk in awesome nature and sit right by the forest to enjoy a coffee, a beer and/or a decent meal. It 's 100% the best thing about the place. Inside is not very accessible to daylight, quite frankly. The problem is the manager. He prefers to choose for his customers that they sit inside in the dark rather than outside in the fresh air. He is willing to lie to your face about the reasons for this, telling you with a deprecating smile that it is too risky for his staff with the 'changeable Belgian weather '. This a lie. Today is the third time I have found the terrace closed for this stated reason, yet the weather was fine on my last visit and today the forecast is Partly cloudy and dry. No precipitation chance . As a reviewer remarks below, It was a sunny Sunday afternoon.. we were accommodated inside . No, the real reason is that the manager is a control freak. He used the pandemic as an excuse to close off the terrace with wooden palettes and No Entry signs, but has chosen to retain these restrictions ever since. There is no earthly reason for an eatery of this type to have a sign to wait to be seated. Why can 't you simply pick a table? It 's not the Ritz! The reason is to prevent people from sitting outside by choice, but rather be forced to sit in a stuffy window-less room as this is easier him to manage. The manager unfortunately runs the establishment for his own benefit and convenience, rather than that of his clientelle. I won 't be back. L 'Auberge Bretonne, nearby, has a large terrace accessible from the woods as well. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
