A busy Friday night place. The service was good, but the food is a bit confusing or perhaps improvising. We ordered the spicy fried squid and BBQ Galbi. only five dishes of banchan for dinner and they were weird kinds- pickle onions, celery, hotdog, fish cake, kimchi. We ended up cooking all of them except kimchi. The lettuce instead of whole leaf to wrap the meat, it was chopped up into salad. The squid was medium freshness and it was cut into too small pieces. The flavor is salty, yet not enough sweetness to balance out. For $19 it is too expensive for the quality. The Galbi was two pieces of decent good Galbi. One star for Galbi and one star for service.
Aw, it doesn't really get much better than Korean bbq with friends and family, grilling some meat while sipping on some Soju. Some of my best memories have been shared over these tiny grills. This is Chosun 2, which means of course there is a Chosun 1. Both the same and offer the grill-your-own-meat experience as well as other authentic Korean dishes. We always opt for the combo dinner, in which there are multiple options depending on party size and makes it easy so you don't have to individually select what you want. The meal always starts with small side dishes called Banchan, including favorites such as kimchi and fish cakes, as well as side salad and is served with a bowl of rice. Then the real fun begins and they bring out all the meats, which you can grill yourselves if you are more experienced, or if you are newer they can cook for you. We also like to add on the seafood scallion pancake, so yummy! 5/5 stars, you just can't go wrong here. Service is attentive to diners needs, even though you do technically grill the food on your own. Great place for family, first dates, friends and large groups. Come hungry because it is a ton of food!
