The food still tastes great, but I just felt like my food wasn't as carefully as it would be if I had ordered the same things in Lawrence. My mango margarita also had a big globe syrup on the bottom that I had to stir in myself.
Had to give 5 stars to get free chips and Queso. After I showed the cashiers the 5 stars, I went back to edit the post. No employees were in sight and I had to go to the kitchen and ask someone to come forward. At that time there were 2 others in the line next to us. The young Gal, who took our order, seemed to be a burden for them and interrupted everything they did. Left cheese from 2 of the 4 tacos. Would not recommend this location. Since I write this, someone is waiting for the cash register. It's noon. That's ridiculous. Without customers, they have no place to work.
My daughter told me about this place for years. We were together. The best thing is that we had the whole restaurant for us, basically. It was completely empty when we arrived. I had that and Brisket? I tried the soft and crisp. They were fair. They had too much salad over them. I expected more for $3,49 per ?. I wasn't impressed. Many of the chairs and tables were bestowed with food particles and various crumbs. The service was great. The young man who supported us was personally, helpful, sociable and very friendly. The two are for his service!
That was my first visit to this restaurant. The confusion began at the front door, which one hand wrote noticed that call was fine to go through the right door. Since I hadn't called, I went through the other door that went back through the line. The place to order and the place to pick up are not clearly marked, so that after wandering around in confusion for a few moments I found my way to the place of order, which I had the right door at the beginning could have led me directly there. The menu is easy enough to understand, but I ordered Enchiladas and got soft tacos. The taste of the food was good. The price was a fair price, but since most of the rice was, it was not a great value. The staff was very friendly. Now that I know how the system works, I can go back one day to try another menu selection.
Pros: (1) Tasty taco filling (fried avocado, ground beef, spicy pork) (2) Good prices (drinks are $1 with previously purchased souvenir cup) (3) Large amount of seating (4) Salsa is strongly flavored (in a chipotle flavor sort of way) Cons: (1) Slow service (too few employees perhaps there seemed to be 2 kitchen workers and 1 person for phone and orders and all else) (2) Food prep seemed iffy we received the wrong plate of food (which we then took back to them and they exchanged for the correct plate of food). (2b) You can tell there wasn?t much love in the chips seasoning (3) The Latin Fried potatoes are utterly devoid of that which you could call flavor. Alternatively, one of us says that they are devoid of the ?Latin? bit, and just exist as pure ?fried potatoes? (4) The soda machine was out of coke, so we had to mention this and due to the aforementioned staffing issues, it took about 10 mins to be resolved (5) The spicy pork was somewhat oddly textured (perhaps too much sinew and fat). So beware if you dislike odd meat textures Edit: 1 star for the spamvertising owner comments on reviews. This isn?t the place for that
