Gyu-kaku Overland Park

Fun experience and staff was very nice. Did not care for the flavor of the miso soup and just couldn’t eat. As a diabetic there wasn’t anything to substitute for the rice without paying for another side.

We went for an anniversary dinner and made a booking over open table. And they weren’t ready for us once we arrived. That bothered me. The food was okay but the tables are awkward not conducive to the ambiance they were trying for.

First time visiting this restaurant. Sides we ordered garlic pasta and fried rice were good, but portion was small. They had a lot of meat choices… mainly beef. It was interesting cooking my meat order, but somehow felt overpriced…. Since we cooked ourselves. Will probably give it another go, since we now know the process.

The food was good and our server was great. The only problem we had was one of the burners was not working properly.

Amazing value if you do the preset menus. I haven’t explored beyond that, however we are always very happy with the food and prompt service.
