Went here multiple times to try the food, every time I have went the place was closed. Middle of the day, early in the evening, doesn't matter, always closed! The one time I even saw an open sign on, I proceeded to try and enter and some older lady ran to the door and locked it in my face and screamed they were closed because their kitchen was broke. I gave up trying to go.
Very personable and so sad he has passed away. It is an honor to experience and see the chef in action in our very own smallest big city St. Louis. It wasn't crowded at all but is definitely beyond a traditional Chinese restaurant. Glad to share the same name. You will be missed ! 06/20
One of the better Chinese restaurants I've been to in quite awhile. Would have preferred the Hunan style to be spicer, but, that is just me. Will remember to ask for added spice.
I enjoyed their Crab Rangoon appetizer and Pumpkin Shrimp entree (that's shrimp and pumpkin pieces). The flowers on each plate are made from carrots. I am very happy I decided to stop here today. The staff is very friendly and treated me well. They have two menus, one more American and one traditional Chinese. I will return to sample more of their offerings!
