Romano's Macaroni Grill - Oviedo

Dining here was really fantastic last night after years of hit or miss. They are bringing back old favorites and had a great singer like in the old Macaroni Grill days. The food, ambiance and our server was excellent. We will visit again soon. Bravo!

Our server was horrible. I wish I saved my receipt because he never gave us his name. He spoke very fast and was hard to understand. He stood at the front of our table and we had to yell out orders to him. Other than that the food and restaurant was great.

On a Friday night at 8pm we were one of five tables in the restaurant which was the first clue. By then they were out of: Calamari Chianti Bourbon Cannolis Food was cold when it was finally delivered. Waiter was VERY new and so service was as expected with a new person who spent more time running clean dishes to the kitchen than serving. Twice I had to track him down. Not his fault—he obviously wasn't trained at all. I still tipped him 20%. This Mac Grill is just very poorly managed. I'd def NOT go back and recommend everyone who reads this to avoid it.

Bogo monday was a failure this week,. Obviously a different chef and the Lasagne which is usually fantastic was very lacking. No cheese to speak of and no ricota at all. Something Pizza Hut might make. Hopefuly they will sort it out. A great little haunt and usually excellent food.

It was very expensive and I did not feel like my dish was homemade, I have always like this restaurant but I can make better food at home. Sorry!!!! Our server fabulous though!!!
