Everyone has a strong taste that reminds us of our time in Korea. The kimchi jjigae is a great bit of comfort food and the small meals are great with a little spicy kick. A little more expensive than we expect for the serving size, but tasty and it's not easy to find a good Korean restaurant in Oxford. Would definitely recommend!
This is not really dedicated to 순. I'm afraid non-Korean people believe this as Korean food. At least it needs more vegetables. There were only 1/4 pieces of a layer of an onion. It tastes like just Korean instant cream paste. Since I only had from here, I have no idea about other menus. Maybe the other food would be better. (I hope so... But after 5 days experience in Oxford, now I know that this restaurant offers quite good food with very reasonable price and beautiful service. If there is someone who wants Korean food here, I recommend Bibimbab instead of soup.
I was with Jeong several times. The staff was very friendly. The share and prices were fine, nothing too expensive. The small room makes it very secret, like you in a local area Korean cuisine, instead of a modern chic chain restaurant. The food came fast, although it was quite much to do on a Saturday, and was hot and fresh (in contrast to some places where the food was left in the cold). Since there are not many Korean diners in Oxford (usually Asian fusion with some Korean dishes), I hope that Jeong's stays will come open for a long time.
Tastable and affordable Korean food, fucked away in Oxford Covered Market. Sweet decor and friendly staff, with good vegan / vegetarian options to make it all out. Would definitely recommend to eat for a quick bite!
My wife (Korean) and I went here separately, and we both love it. By far, this is the best Korean food you can get in Oxford. Authentic flavors and a great price. I personally recommend the 닭갈비 도시락 (dagalbi dosirak) if you like things a little spicy. The 김밥 (kimbap) is also great. I'll be going here regularly.
