Great experience. The staff was accommodating and attentive to my needs. The food was fantastic, and the best part is that it supports a good cause. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Went to the theatre at the Old Fire Station, so decided to use their cafe for pre-show drinks rather than venture into one of the packed pubs on George St. The cafe is a comfortable setup without any intrusive loud music. Perhaps a bit limited in terms of what they offer, but the wine we had (Rioja) was very acceptable for a theatre bar, and the staff were lovely. Went back for another glass in the interval to compensate for the shortcomings of the play...
Though a cafe, it’s run more like an activist hangout. Food was fresh and hot. It’s all vegetarian. No non veg options. Service takes sometime, even when it’s relatively empty.
During our visit to Oxford, we decided to stop in for lunch and were amazed by the experience. We wish our own town had a similar restaurant! Not only is it for a good cause, but it's also a fantastic cafe on its own. The atmosphere is modern, comfortable, and enhanced by great music. The food was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. The staff member who served us was friendly and attentive, and it seemed like there was a strong sense of community among the customers, making the place very welcoming. After our meal, we explored the gallery exhibiting some incredible set designs. If there had been a show on at their theatre, we definitely would have attended. This place is truly a hidden gem.
