The coffee and cake are very affordable at this restaurant, with vegetable milk only costing 10p and any type of cake priced at £2.50. They offer large portions and vegan options. We tried the carrot cake, which had a not-too-sweet frosting but was a bit dry, even though we had the end slice. The staff is friendly and efficient, though the atmosphere may not be the safest. There is a charming, albeit unadorned, garden out back where you can eavesdrop on the conversations of other patrons. Take advantage of the last days of autumn before it gets too chilly to sit outside for long.
This coffee shop, formerly known as Quarter-Peter, has maintained its high standards under the new name, Peloton. The coffee is excellent, the service is average, and the brownies are delicious. Seating is limited and the shop is popular with people looking to work for long periods, so it can be difficult to find a spot. However, the friendly atmosphere encourages sharing tables. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.
