Pizzeria Trattoria Mario - Oxford

Excellent gluten-free pasta! the cook was very knowledgeable. it takes some time because they replace the pasta water, but it is totally worth it. there is no gf pizza, but if they are for some pasta hens, this is the place! (pictured gf fatty succinne, comes with mushrooms, sink and pluck. absolutely delicious!

This place seemed very authentic and Italian. service was great, as well as the pizza and drinks. that can't go wrong here. only a very low improvement can be the pizza dough, but that does not mean that it was not good.

I had booked a table for 6 on 20/5 as we were in the opposite to celebrate my daughter graduation. we were late for travel delays and had to postpone our booking by half an hour. that was not a problem for mario and we came to a warm welcome. all staff were friendly, helpful and conscientious. the restaurant was very busy and had a nice atmosphere. one of our party is coeliac and this was managed with knowledge and carefree. we ate from the regular menu and the specialties and the whole food was freshly cooked and delicious. If we ever have a reason to be back in oxford, then we will return to marios. highly recommended on all levels.

Have been to Italian restaurants in very Great Britain and Europe, but that is honest to one of the best! tonight for my sisters 21st, that was amazing eating, the server was nice and we had a great time. I plan to come back with my bf for a date night!

I love this restaurant so much ! We go there very often with my partner and it's always a very good time. Authentic italian food, home made and so good, prices are great, staff is lovely. I'm a big fan of their gnocchis and their pizza (I recommand the crudo), I always ask to have the penne meatballs but replace the penne by gnocchis and they always say yes even when the restaurant is very busy. One of the best restaurant in Oxford to my opinion.
