The staff now appears rude and believes they are better than the customers, and the food is not consistently fresh. There are no excuses - we should expect better from Taylors!!
It appears that this restaurant has been heavily impacted by Covid. There were no shelves offering deli products, only a fridge with cans of drinks priced at £1.50 and a small selection of chocolate snacks at the cash register. My panini was decent, but the service was lacking enthusiasm and the sandwich counter looked quite empty. It's disappointing.
This was easily the worst bacon baguette I've ever had. Only 2 small, barely cooked rashers in a 10-inch baguette, with zero service and a cold, frothy coffee. I will never be coming back here.
I purchased a brie and sundried tomato flatbread sandwich today, there were 2 of the skinniest pieces of brie inside, a few sundried tomatoes, and loads of black olives that I had to take out as they were unpleasant, thus leaving very little else. I had to pay £4.80 for this. Never again!
It’s probably the least salubrious of the Taylors locations in and around Oxford based in some sh!tty 1950 strip mall in a cr&ppy part of Botley near the ring road where they’re building all the new student accommodation. But the coffee’s excellent, you can park outside, the staff are helpful and there are plenty of great cakes and sausage rolls etc to be had. Great if you’re on the go. Frequent the other Oxford Taylors if you fancy something a bit calmer and posher!
