Excellent food. While the Hotty Toddy Balls didn't sound appealing by name, the description sold us and they were so good. You really get you money's worth here. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. Best experience that I've per8had in Oxford.
First time visiting beautiful, great staff, food oh God wonderful, their gyros the best I have had, so tender and soft, they have a friendly Torrie making the rounds to greet customers, I love cats and they made my trip and lunch wonderful, go by and check this place out, you will love it, it is in Oxford Mississippi, the city is rich in history and friendly people
Go for the food. It's good! Their gyro meat is thick cut, not slices like other places. I always get extra! The Greek pimento cheese and hummus are a must try!
Let me start by saying, I used to love Volta. I had eaten here many times before without any issue, but I will personally never return for any reason. Why?Warning: Gross content belowA few months back I got the worst food poisoning of my life from eating severely undercooked pork that made it into my Pork Soulvlaki salad. I noticed the meat was chewy and after eating only two bites, I took some and cut it up on my plate and it was basically raw. (picture attached)I showed the wait staff who apologized and said the kitchen gets into a hurry sometimes when they get backed up during busy times. They offered to make it again, but at that point they had already lost my trust and I had lost my appetite. They actually seemed apathetic towards the situation. They didn 't even offer to take it off my check even though I only ate those two bites.Fast forward a few days later, I started to get violently ill, I ended up in the hospital and was admitted for 3 days. I was the sickest I have ever been in my life. It took weeks for my digestive system to fully recover. For those who are reading this, if you choose to go to Volta, my advice would be to cut each piece of meat before you eat it to make sure it is fully cooked so something like this doesn 't happen to you.
