Perdeberg Cellar - Paarl

I visited this restaurant for wine tasting on Easter Sunday. The wine tasting was beautifully presented and thoroughly explained. I opted for the wine and chocolate pairing, which was perfectly complementary. They offer an extensive selection of wines, and the ones we sampled were excellent. I also took home some seltzer.

I was truly impressed! Here are some highlights: the staff was incredibly friendly and passionate, and the tasting room was spotless. The pairings were excellent in both flavor and value. It was also kid-friendly, with some pairings available for my daughter as well. Overall, it’s a wonderful farm to visit as a family.

I absolutely loved the marshmallow and the weeping! We had a great time during our visit, thanks to the friendly service. It’s also very child-friendly, which made it even better!

Good old comfort food is the order of the day at their restaurant. We visited for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the roasted Leg of Lamb with vegetables and white sauce and yellow rice. Malva pudding for dessert rounded it off perfectly. If you’re going with the kids, they have a doughnut trio option which the kids can decorate themselves with icing and toppings. There’s also a nice little kids play area to keep them entertained for a while too. And you obviously can’t vist the Home of Chenin Blanc without ordering a bottle!

Great wine prices! Did a marshmallow tasting and my mom did a chocolate tasting, was nice although our waitor seemed a bit inexperienced and didn't explain much aside from mentioning which order to follow the pairing correctly.. After which he disappeared and didn't see him again until we were done for some time, we wanted to order food but no-one came to check on us, eventually we found our way to the restaurant /Deli and we could order a cheese platter. Platter came quickly but was a little underwhelmed with it. I did however order a case of various wines for a very reasonable price!
