I have not visited the salt house in winter, but I will try it in season 2020/2021.

We are coming in before the rode. for the fact that only very little was going on, we waited for the service for a long time. the ordered dips were edible, but also not (vanilla sauce liquid and barely tasted, cheese paret with gorgonzola, chili con carne a la bolognese.)
After a very nice hike to the rappoldkogel we arrived to eat on the afternoon. The service was rather annoyed about our annoyance and order. which is to be expected on a sunny Sunday, is clear to us. but I do not see that we are waiting for food with a hungry little child over 1 hour, known to the waitress at the tables but immediately get her to eat. eating itself was not a highlight, but ok. we will not return to the next time.
We were here several times during a trip to lunch and have never been disappointed. also with great urge, the service staff keeps the overview and you are served quickly and friendly. Furthermore, the price-performance ratio is really good, eating so far has tasted all.
