The flavors and portions were great, and we were all very impressed. I will definitely come back again, as the staff was excellent and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Highly recommend!
During our visit to the port of call, we dined at a restaurant that was recommended by a friend. We made a reservation online in advance for a Friday night. The food was delicious, with a variety of flavors that made it difficult to choose a favorite dish. For starters, we enjoyed sharing the pork, carrot, and mushroom shu mai wontons, as well as the prawn and chili san choi and the prawn and snow pea corn. For our main course, we had the bang bang chicken, ginger, sesame, and chili master stick pig belly, as well as the chili caramel with steamed rice. The pig belly was my favorite, perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth - one of the best I've had in a while. We saved room for dessert and shared the coconut saga, mango, lychee, and mint almond - a delightful way to end the meal. I definitely want to return to Sydney again for another meal.
I definitely do not enjoy raw chicken with blood, and apparently that is the norm at this restaurant. The crispy skin chicken was served raw, which was not mentioned and caused a disagreement between the waiter and customers. The restaurant was empty, possibly because people do not want raw chicken in Paddington. The pot stickers were good and the service, although slow, was friendly.
Definitely back. The food was brilliant and the atmosphere is probably one of the best in the Chinese restaurant around Sydney. The pancakes were great.
A first timer to this restaurant and would go back. Lovely Chinese food served on great crockery. full depth to the dishes without being too peppery and spices. the wait staff had a great understanding of the menu and recommended a great wine to go...with our chosen dishes.
