Paddington Alimentari

"Alimentari have delivery the best Chai Wet Tea I've experienced", says one of Australia's few no coffee drinkers.For those that don't drink coffee and are regularly catch up with friends for a 'coffee' Alimentari have 'over achieved' on my first preference #chaitea And not having to explain to staff how to prepare a soy chai Wet Tea is even better!!For this and the delicious food I will alway recommend and always return.

I used to live near Alimentari and visited almost daily, watching it grow in popularity and increase its deli and eat-in offerings. I called in yesterday and was amazed to see nine staff on deck; a reflexion of the enormous popularity of this atmospheric, Italian style deli/cafe. The coffee is still good and when barista Andre is there it is great!

This is a fabulous Italian deli and cafe just off Oxford street in Paddington if you are in this area shopping. You might have to wait for a table but the food is delicious. Otherwise you can order and take away. Highly recommended if you are in Sydney and looking for something very authentic.

Love this little place, been many times. A gourmet deli with great food to eat there or take away. Breakfast/brunch/lunch all well catered for.

Alimentari is a local café and deli in Paddington, just off the vibrant William Street.We stopped for coffee and cake after a morning of shopping on Oxford Street. It was busy, with patrons enjoying ‘table service’ on the council supplied walls outside. We ordered irrespective, to be told by the waitress that there was also a room at the back - a Godsend. The rear room has a large shared table, a number of smaller tables and bar type benches against the walls. It’s airy and quite vibrant. There are plenty of new issue quality magazines about the place.Our coffee was very good and the cakes tasty. The cost was $16 for two, which is moderately expensive.The staff are very friendly and efficient, and most have a (genuine) Italian accent. The lady ‘boss’ has a black labradoodle that is also friendly and entertaining - she sits (the dog) on the stairs leading up out of the rear dining room, and patiently supervises the distribution of food amongst the patrons.By the way, we saw some really nice dishes come out of the kitchen. It wasn’t evident to us that there was more that cakes, tarts, pies and quiche on the menu, per the displays. We will need to investigate on another day.
