The Lost Cajun

10/10. Absolutely amazing! The flavors are incredible, and the food is served piping hot and fresh. Truly the best comfort food. I can’t wait to return!

Don't be misled by the pictures you see online. The food was awful! I sampled a bit from everyone’s plate, and to my surprise, it lacked any flavor at all. You wouldn't expect that from a Cajun restaurant, but I was completely wrong. The only thing that made the meal somewhat bearable was the Cajun salt they offer. Nobody at our table even bothered to take home the leftovers. I definitely won't be dining there again.

I had the fried catfish, okra gator bites. Everything had heavy batter no real taste. The gator bites tasted the same as the catfish. Won't return.

We enjoyed this place so much that we visited twice! They offer a "pick 3" option, which allows you to sample several Cajun classic dishes. Among our favorites were the crawfish étouffée and catfish étouffée. The boudin balls were also delicious if you enjoy that flavor! One night, it was quite busy, so the food took a bit longer to arrive, but the atmosphere was great. On our second visit, it was less crowded, and our food came out quickly. We weren't fans of the hush puppies; they were a bit too bready for our taste. I would suggest trying something else from their appetizer menu, as there are plenty of great options!

We came because we had the fried okra years ago and it was delicious so when we returned to town we decided we must come back. The okra was burned. Another table ordered it while we were there and it looked much better than what was served to us. The onion rings were just ok. After being reassured by our waitress that everything on the menu was delicious we ordered a couple of the trios with gumbo, etouffee and lobster bisque. The etouffee was inedible. It was so fishy you could barely even bring it to your mouth. We also tried the beignets and they were the worst we have ever had.
