BergBlick Restaurant - Pagudpud

The staff was very friendly the place is clean and spacious the food is very good but it's for small group. we went with the very large group and was hard to get a big bowl of any of their entrees

Good food but small portions but definitely worth it. A big minus is their toilet, it is not so nice fresh and clean. Nice and friendly staff

The only decent restaurant in Pagudpud. Their Mango Beer was excellent! It was light fruity. A MUST TRY! Food, serving price was good. We got pasta, their BergBlick special and pork chops. Service was nice. They were very polite and would update you...of our order and ask if we were ok. The owners (married couple) were very hands on too. Ambiance was very nice pleasant overlooking the green rice fields and blue skies. If you are a big group, try calling ahead of time for your orders since they are a small cafe but could accommodate 50 people for inside dining and al fresco dining.

We arrived at their restaurant expecting to have a good experience but left feeling like we were robbed. We ordered their fingerfood, bergblick platter and creme brulee. Serving is pretty small for the price and taste of food is nothing to write home about. What's...even worse is they only care about big customers. When we arrived the weather's not good as it is raining pretty hard and we have our 4 yo son with us. I opened the door inside the resto to ask them to transfer us but instead of asking why I opened the door, the owner just closed the door again. I just let it pass and opened the door again to ask them to transfer us inside once a table becomes available and they said yes but another group was transferred before us even though we arrived first. Also, we had to wait for an hour or so before we got to eat coz they served our food to another table. The customers on the said table already started eating our food before they realized that it's not what they ordered and complained to the owner about it. The customers also asked them to apologize to us as we had to wait some more since they had to prepare our food again, but the owner didn't apologize not even once (probably because we didn't get angry). They also kept checking on other guests (those that came im big groups) but didn't even check on us once. Oh and 1 more thing, we only ordered 1 coke but they served us 2. We didn't say anything abt any of this coz we don't want to get mad and ruin our day but we think we shoyld post an honest review nevertheless.

Detlev is a superb cook and a great host. Lots of vegetarian options as well as mango wheat beer imported from Germany.
