Patrein is a very nice bloke. Very friendly and honest. His cook was already gone so he just made us some chips for a very reasonable price. Paihia isn't the best place for me, unless I found this little tavern. I stepped in and had the most fluent conversation I've ever had in New Zealand. It was amazing to find people so talkative and enjoyable. I also enjoyed the best company possible in this little space and felt welcomed as if it were my own home.
