MENUDO!!! The seasoning is just right, the broth is clean, and the tripe is fresh. It was so good that I ended up having it twice in one week! The salsa is the best, and the restaurant itself is friendly and comfortable. The owners are incredibly sweet and kind. I'm really glad to support this local business in Palatine.

Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere! We returned after six months and were delighted once again. The vibe was fantastic, enhanced by great mood music. The food is absolutely excellent! We received outstanding service, with the chef preparing a special vegetarian dish for me and accommodating my husband's request for a unique fish dish. I absolutely adore this small, authentic gem!

On my first visit, I tried the Tampiqueña, and the meat was well-marinated, unlike other places that just add some seasoning at the last moment before cooking. It also comes with a side of beans and rice. On our most recent visit, I opted for the shrimp fajitas, which were fantastic! The sizzling skillet when it arrived was a sight to behold—although the picture doesn’t quite capture how great they were. I highly recommend this place to everyone I know!

You know what? This place is underrated. Their carne asada is by far better than what I've tried elsewhere. I ordered two tacos, but now I want to get four tortas! The steak is cooked perfectly right in front of you, which may take about five minutes, but it's definitely worth the wait.
