Gators Wing Shack - Palatine

The food was excellent, and everything else was great, except for our server, Amanda. She only brought us our drinks, while others handled the food service. When I signed the check, she said, “WTF dude, you're not even going to tip me?” I was taken aback and couldn't find the words to respond. When I turned around, she repeated her comment. I explained that I left a tip on the table, to which she replied, “Oh MY GOSH, I’m so sorry! Some people did that to me earlier.” At that point, I just wanted to say goodbye. She really needs to improve her customer service skills. I noticed her manager was right there and didn’t intervene—he just laughed. Honestly, the hardworking staff deserves recognition, so please skip the tip for Amanda.

The rest of the staff, particularly the Mexican servers, deserve better recognition and raises—let’s not reward Amanda.

Our first visit here , and it was Bingo night (obnoxious bingo). We were kindly greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. It was a younger crowd (college age), and that was why the bingo game was annoying/obnoxious . They had great late night drink specials after 11. Their bomb shots were amazing! The bartender recommended the Dragon bomb... YES, PLEASE SO GOOD!
