Carmine's Original Ocean Grill Sushi

I had dinner at Carmine's. The sushi was excellent. Large portions of fresh fish with an excellent presentation. I also had the tuna sashimi was also first rate. The tuna was fresh and with roe and rice.

Carmine's is a tad upscale: white linen tablecloths, modern decor, fancy attire for waiters and waitresses, etc. They certainly appeal to the more ritzy crowd in the nearby Palm Beach Gardens area, and the price reflects this. I came here with a Restaurant.com certificate, and thank goodness I did. I ordered a couple Shrimp Tempura rolls, which were 8 pieces each and $11 each. A couple other rolls were also ordered, each of them being $15+. Pretty pricey for sushi, and it wasn't the best sushi I've ever had (but it wasn't bad either). The sticky rice was unusually dry and a rather thick layer. I snazzed up my Shrimp Tempura rolls with spicy mayo, as I always do. Perhaps other non-sushi items on the menu are more impressive. The presentation was pretty, though, and our waiter was attentive. Carmine's Ocean Grill Sushi Bar is a nice environment for a date night, but the food is rather overpriced. Come willing to pay up (or come with a certificate Groupon).

Difficult to find and I highly suggest you use valet parking. We booked through Opentable and our request to sit outside was accommodated. The sushi was fresh and outstanding, the Kobe beef was tender and flavorful. Service was excellent. Take your checkbook as it is pricey for the portions. However, a very solid dining experience.

Great place for sushi, seafood, and drinks! My husband and I went to this restaurant while on vacation. We sat outside which had a nice view of the marina. It has a good selection of wines and signature cocktails. I got an Ocean Tini and he drank a Watermelon Margarita. Both were good and strong! For our meal, he had the Alaskan King Crab Legs and I had the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna. Both were good! My only complaint is that the food was a little under seasoned and it was very expensive. But overall, a good way to end our vacation in Palm Beach!

First time here but defiantly will be back soon , everything is awesome from the view to the service and from the food to the prices . Love the atmosphere .
