Gyros King Subs & Salads - Palm Harbor

They used to be great. Finally made it back and it was horrible , gyro meat was dry, husbands sandwich hardly had any tzatziki sauce so he ask for a little more they wanted to charge a dollar for it, the cook said that's the amount that comes on the junior gyro, so that dollar just cost him any future orders from us. ordered tater tots as a side they were so overcook they deflated when u bit into them. The WORST part was how dirty and filthy the dining area was it is so disgusting, ended up leaving. When the pizza shop and gyro king were one place it was good food there is a wall that separates them now. Not sure how the pizza place is.

First time there. Purchased two gyros, one with feta cheese and one without. Good portions of meat. Could taste the garlic from the flavoring added. Meat was tender and pita bread was good. We normally go to Seminole Subs because we love their gyros but they are not close to our home. Will be back but wished there was more onions on it. Had sliced tomatoes. They said they add peppers too but didn't see much for peppers or onions.

Used to be good, not now. Absolutely filthy. I ordered spanicopita and it was horrible, chewy, tasteless awful. We will not return because of the dirty conditions. The owners obviously do not care. If it looks this dirty out front I can't imagine how bad the kitchen and back areas are. Definitely needs a deep cleaning.

We love their gyros even when it’s not BOGO Wednesday. Tonight we got two, and resisted the temptations (cheesecakes and cannolis). One day we’ll try other menu options. Not tonight. We did notice two cash registers one for cash one for both. Convenient and speedy. Also, they are no longer affiliated with pizza place next door. It wasn’t too busy tonight, especially at 5:15. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Hero King is by far one of the best deals out there. When you want something fresh and delicious. This is the place to go. Call ahead Eat in or take out. Wednesday is buy one Gyro get one free. Thursday special is buy one Cuban get one free. First time I tried their Cuban. And was it delicious. 37 years here in Tampa Bay I've eaten a lot of Cubans. And this one was perfect . That's a real compliment coming from me especially since I had a restaurants in Pinellas county for 20 years. We had a great Cuban sandwich. I'm just so grateful that I can actually get a Cuban sandwich now in Pinellas county. That taste good. They definitely have One of the best Cuban sandwich In the Tampa Bay area.The fresh pork was so flavorful. And of course the best part was the fresh crispy Cuban bread. The traditional Cuban bread has a palm leaf. If it doesn't have a palm leaf it's not Cuban bread. Stop in any day of the week There's always something delicious cooking . And they have different specials throughout the weekl. I've been going there for over 30 years. And the food gets better every year. One restaurant you definitely won't be disappointed.
