Blackbook - Palm Springs

I met my date here as a 'Jumping off point for the evening. The drinks were a bit strong and it was pretty loud inside but over all this is a great little watering hole with friendly and attentive mixologists.

The food was great, but we ordered the sharable nacho platter with combined chicken and steak w/ guac. Nothing else, no drinks just water. This should not have costed $37.00 before the tip. It’s nachos.

Came for dinner and drinks at about 9pm. The bar was busy when I arrived and most seats were taken. I asked an employee outside about getting a seat or table. They said the outside patio was now closed, and it was on my own to find a seat. I didn’t see anyone else eating. I guess if you want to eat at Blackbook which is labeled a bar and grill you should arrive at 5pm for dinner. Perhaps it would just be better to call it a “bar”. Food until 8pm. Crowd is 30’s-40’s.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of food noticed your ratings online and your menu looked very elaborate although upon arriving to pride, we quickly realize that you have shorten the menu to make more convenient and bad quality food. Fairly disappointing because people around us had said that this place actually is really good although $60 for two drinks and nachos that were burnt to the plate was unacceptable. If you have a menu you should post it online for what you actually serve.

I have a friend who works here and I've been wanting to have a burger since it's supposed to have one of the better ones around. After waiting an hour to be served and noticing that other tables that sat after us were being served I mentioned it to our server. He assured us it was coming and after another 10 minutes the two burgers we ordered came. They were both cold, cold, cold and completely overcooked and dry. Fries were also cold, cold cold. Our meal was completely comped but I'm just so disappointed.
