Terrace - Palm Springs

I visited for breakfast and ordered the eggs benedict and a waffle. Unfortunately, it was honestly the worst eggs benedict I’ve ever had, and I regret not taking a photo. The waffle, however, was quite good. I requested my eggs poached medium, but they were undercooked, with completely runny yolks and overly slimy whites. The hollandaise sauce was disappointing—it was not smooth, had a foamy texture for some reason, and lacked flavor. Our server brought our food but didn’t check on us again until she unexpectedly presented the bill while we were still eating. She never asked how the food was or offered to refill our drinks. I definitely won't be returning.

Sad I figured out this place had great breakfast so late in my trip. They had me at Waffle Benedict ? The inside dining atmosphere is what you would expect for a hotel restaurant, but outside is way better. The staff is friendly and many of them have been working there for years!

Our server was unreasonably rude. When I simply asked about how to apply the discount, he didn’t address my question at all and instead shouted “WHAT'S YOUR ROOM NUMBER?” at me, despite my friend having already provided that information. He even loudly announced to the entire restaurant that I was a team member while yelling for the manager's attention regarding the discount, which made me feel even more uncomfortable. On the bright side, the food was outstanding, especially the eggs. However, the server didn’t come back to refill our water until we were nearly finished with our meals. Instead, he seemed to just watch us from across the room when we didn’t need anything. When the check arrived, he interrogated me about where I worked as if he doubted my eligibility for the discount. Given all that, I still left a 10% tip instead of nothing. But as we were leaving, I saw him immediately reporting to the manager and other staff, making belittling remarks about me.

The service was excellent every day, and the food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed breakfast here a couple of times.
