Our issues: 1)We made reservations two months ago specifically asking not to be seated at the communal table. We were seated there anyway despite our objections and showing the host the original request. 2)The poor quality of appetizers and entrees. The cooking was very sloppy (soggy, undercooked fries) and questionable technique (pickled/sous vide chicken breast). Not sure how you recover from that except just better cooks and oversight. 3)The service was slow. After being seated we weren’t greeted or given water for 10 minutes. The waitress thanked us for being patient but blamed this on “things being really busy.” The point of reservations is to assist restaurants with resource planning, so again this points to poor management.
This restaurant is hip and fun with great food and excellent service. I sat outside as the option was at a shared table and I was with my wife and wanted alone time. The chairs were cheap and outside is a corridor. They pull it off though as hip but if you prefer elegant this might not be your place. I had the hanger steak and it was incredible. Enjoy!!
We were sadly disappointed. Start with the good- Atmosphere is super cool. Craft cocktails were excellent. Scallops were fresh and good. Now for the not so good- Willing to pay the $28 for a burger in hopes of something special. Was not.. Ordered med rare was cold in the middle.. Bun rather dry. Pork chop, good flavor but ordered med rare, it was well. Service lacking. When waiter was told over cooked and other under cooked he just said oh ... We are happy to pay big prices for excellent food and service but was not the case.. I would prob give it another chance however the other 4 with us said NO!
We were seated 15 minutes late. Food was delicious, but very expensive! Cool ambiance, but incredibly noisy.
Current fabulous food from a creative chef. Excellent service and the best looking restaurant in Palm Springs, amazing space!
