Villa At Palmer Lake, The

Unbelievable food and staff! Great Jazz music while you dine. A gem of a restaurant hidden in the foot hills of the Rockies a quaint little town of Palmer Lake. Great small shops and a fun place to visit. Just 15 north of the Springs. You gotta see and taste this menu. Chris Kerri Bohler have many years as restauranteurs. Put this on the must do list!

The Good: The food was great, seating was abundant and servers were nice The Bad: The menu online was inaccurate, it is a completely different menu now new weekly? monthly? They were out of: beer from the beer menu, the steak, meatballs, polenta cheese sticks. We found out about all of these when trying to order. Menu is small so being out of this many items at 6 on Saturady night was odd Seriously Safeway is a 5 minute drive people They dont give you bread which I thought was weird for italian. Other Yelp reviews talked about bread so maybe they were out of this too The server was nice but most of them looked a little dishevelled. One had work out pants on with the cut outs and another with an outfit that mirrored Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas I thought this was a joke but it wasnt . Hey you do you, but when I spend eating here, show respect and look the part. Finally, no kids menu. I asked for buttered spagehtti noodles for my 4 year old and it was 10. That's a lot. 120 dinner for 2 adults and 2 children. Sadly probably wont be going back...:

It is alright but not worth the price. I want to support these local owned places but I also want to give Yelp users some guidance. Italian food for me is a tough niche because there are different types of food at every strata. This food here was solid but I was underwhelmed by my dish and I had regret that I hand't tried something different. I got pulled into the special and I wished the flavors were more intense. They did a great job on a custom order for miss picky. They substituted a meat for a very reasonable up charge (we replaced pork with premium beef). I often had need of more water I was mighty thirsty thanks to the elevation and dryness of CO. They were responsive to our requests for more bread and marinara dipping sauce.
